Dry, ruddy-skin season is upon us, and if you have sensitive skin or naturally pink undertones, it can mean lots of unwanted redness all over. Not to worry, though, because there are plenty of quick, simple fixes that will get you looking nice and cooled-off again in no time; check them out.
1. Green tea — This stuff is an anti-inflammatory and it's packed with antioxidants to boot. Instead of washing your face with warm water, just brew some strong green tea (jasmine green is great, too), dilute it with cold water, and then use it to rinse your face. For extra power, you can also brew some superstrong tea and then pop it in the freezer to chill it for a bit before you use it.
2. Ibuprofen or aspirin — Yes they reduce a fever, but they also use similar mechanisms to get rid of redness. If you're not allergic, crush either up and mix into a little water until a paste consistency is formed. Then, simply spread on like a face mask, allowing it to sit for about 15 minutes.

3. Benadryl — Try an antihistamine, such as Benadryl; it'll reduce redness and reactivity in general. For more of BellaSugar’s redness treatments, just keep reading!
4. Turmeric — This spice is highly anti-inflammatory, so just like green tea, putting it on can zap the redness right out of your skin. You can use it as a mask or poultice for gentle, all-natural dereddening.
5. Visine — Sure it gets the red out of eyes, but Visine works on skin, too. It's a vasoconstrictor, which means that it makes your blood vessels smaller and less visible, resulting in a less ruddy appearance.
