Swisspers

Swisspers is my latest obsession.  They are cotton rounds, but the best thing one side is an exfoliation and the other side is soft cotton.

Anyone who knows me knows I always wash my face with a wash cloth (new one each day)  Using these swisspers it takes off ALL the makeup left on my face from my face cleaner.  Needless to say when I wash my face each night with a wash cloth it is always clean, another plus since one side exfoliates my face is SUPER SOFT!

You can get them at any drup store, they run around $3.00 for 50.

A MUST HAVE!

This is a Time You Don't Want to Shine!

5 Don't for Getting Your Pitcure Taken.

1. Don't wear a moisturizer or foundation with a sunscreen.  They reflect to much light under the flash, so the picture will look over exposed.

2. Drink as much water as you can the day before and the day of.  This will help your skin "glow"

3. Don't put on to much dark eye shadow, you will need a lot of eyeshadow, make sure it is the color you normally use but wear more than you usually do. Don't use a dark color (smokey eye) that you are not use to, the camera will pick up any dark color that has settled into fine lines.

4.Always use a matte finish, for eyes, cheeks, lips, foundation and powder.  If you use a shimmer, frosty, or shinny the camera will pick up the unwanted shine and bounce off the light resulting in a shinny face.

5. Use to colors on your cheek. One neutral color under your cheek bone (blend well into hair line) and one pinkish color for the apples of your cheek.  This will give you dimension to your face which the camera loves.

I know that taking pictures are a pain, but also very necessary to remember good times that you have had. Do a test run on your makeup so the day of the photo you know what you need to do.

Just remember these tips and your picture will be flawless!

Foundation Smack Down #2

My sister called me the other day to tell me she had found the best foundation from Chanel.
(You can get at Nordstrom) I went out that week to buy it and see how it held up to Makeup Forever. Makeup Forever is a foundation that many makeup artist use. (Sephora)

The Chanel is awesome! I loved the color's it came in.  I got a color that had a bit of a rose tint, my face has a lot of pink in it.
I love the way it goes on and the coverage.
It does not feel like you are wearing foundation which is a plus for most of us.
The price was a little on the steep side, $50.00
I can already tell that it will last me a while, you only need to use a little.
If you want to try this, but don't want to spend the money, go to the counter and ask for a sample in the color that you want.  They ALWAYS give samples.
It was nice to try the Chanel, because it did not stick to my dry skin. My skin looked moist and dewy.
I would recommend this foundation.

Makeup Forever is also awesome, but the problem I had with this makeup is, at Sephora they had a hard time matching my face to the foundation.  Three different workers tried and failed. That is not the makeup's fault, but it seems most worker at Sephora don't know what they are doing.
I found the color that matched my skin. I got a sample and have been using it for awhile.  The problem I have, my skin is SO DRY! Makeup Forever had a hard time covering my dry skin and it would flake. I hate that!
Makeup Forever is about $45.00
It was nice to try the Chanel, because it did not stick to my dry skin.
My skin looked moist and dewy.
My vote goes to Chanel!

Don't get me wrong, my all time favorite foundation is still Perfect Match from Loreal, but I
cant use that to much either in the winter because of my skin.

Thanks Jeannine for the great recommendation!
